Miss Rusha Miner, 75, of Smith Street, Portland, died at Sparrow hospital 
annex in Lansing Tuesday, July 12, at 5 am after being a patient there for 
three weeks.  She suffered a hip fracture in August, 1953 and has been 
confined to Blodgett hospital and convalescent homes since.  Miss Miner was 
born in Orange Township September 26, 1879, the daughter of William and Lydia 
Miner.  She had lived her entire life in Portland and was a member of the 
Methodist church.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Angie M. Wright of Lansing and three nieces, 
Mrs. Marie Robinson of Lansing, Miss Lottie Wright and Miss Elizabeth Miner of 
Flint.  The body was brought to the Boynton funeral home and will be taken to 
Neller funeral home in Portland Thursday where the services will be held at 2 
o’clock Friday afternoon.  The Rev. Park Newcombe will officiate.

Interment will be at the Portland Cemetery.
