Waneta M. Mingus aged 85, of Ionia passed away November 27, 2005 in Ionia. She 
was born July 29, 1920 the daughter of Robert and Marion (Piper) Slocum.

She was a member of Eastern Star. 

Waneta is survived by her daughters; Connie and Richard Hall of Six Lakes, 
Ruthann and Douglas Holliday of Ionia, Kathy and Ron Patterson of St. Johns; 
brother Larry and Linda Slocum of Perry; sisters, Pauline and Joe Woolcock of 
Haslett, Teri and Lee Koleen of Haslett, five step children, four 
grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many step grandchildren and step 
great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Allan Mingus in 
1980, one son Jerry Miller and one brother Wayne Slocum

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM, Wednesday at Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Graveside service Evergreen 
Cemetery at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday 
10 AM until time of services at the funeral home.
