Minier died at his home in Shiloh on Wednesday evening, October 10, after suffering for the past six months with what developed to be cancer of the stomach. The funeral was held on the following Saturday at the Shiloh church, the Rev. Mr. Eckhart of Orleans officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the family lot in Woodard Lake cemetery. Tom, as he was familiarly called, was the oldest son of Hugh A. and Barbara Minier and besides the loving mother, he leaves one brother, Harry E. Minier, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Gilmore and Mrs. Rob. McCue, and their families all of this city, besides many other relatives to mourn their loss.
