H.A. Pegg. Mr. Minier, who was 68 years old, was born in Ionia and nearly all his life has been spent in Palo and vicinity. For many years he has conducted a barber shop here and was also a painter and paper hanger by trade. He was a man of pleasing personality, never failing to give assistance when called on for aid. The floral offerings were many and beautfiful and the crowded church spoke plainly of the esteem of his friends. Besides his two sons, Herbert and Frank, he leaves one brother George Minier, of Grand Rapids; and four sisters, Mrs. Alice Comstock of Shiloh, Mrs. Harry Compton of Plymouth; Mrs. Charles Evans of Bloomer, and Mrs. William Steere of St. Johns, besides six granchilren and a score of distant relatives. Six nephews acted as pallbeareres and he was laid to rest in the Palo cemetery by the side of his father and mother. Those from away who attended the funeral for William Miner on Sunday were: Don Evans and Mrs. Plaskoski of Detroit; Glenn Reimer, Helen Baxter, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Sherwood of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Compton and son Harold, of Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. William Steere and son, Arthur, of St. Johns; Mr. and Mrs. Hal Miner, Mr. and Mrs. Whit Minier from Belding; J.G. Minier and daughter Rena, from Lake Odessa; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Minier, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Higbee, of Ionia; Mr. and Mrs. E. Morgan of Evart; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Hoppough of Orleans; and Mrs. Alice Comstock, Mr and Mrs. Bert Comstock, Mr and Mrs. Egbert Comstock and Ben Comstock of Shiloh.
