Minier, Civil war veteran, was held from the home at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 20th, conducted by his pastor, Rev. G. A. Mooers, of the M. E. church. The remains were taken to the Palo cemetery for interment. Fred, Don and Bert Minier, nephews and Frank Hubbard, Fred Boyer and French Arnold, neighbors, acted as pallbearers. Rev. Mooers pronounced the commitment services using in part the ritualistic work of the American Legion. George P. King, bugler; Frank Hubbard, Ed. Lehr, Tyler Blunt, Elsy Guye and Allen Everhart fired the military salute and sounded Taps. Those from away to attend the funeral were Robert McCue and family of Grand Rapids and John Comstock and family, of Sears. Card of Thanks: We wish to thank our neighbors and friends for their many acts of kindness during the illness and at the death of our dear husband and uncle, J. W. Minier; also for the beautiful floral offerings. The services rendered by Rev. G. A. Mooers, Arthur Fitzjohn and the American Legion men who sounded the last bugle call at the cemetery were greatly appreciated. Mrs. J. W.
