Miner, of hotel fame, died this morning at 6:30, heart disease being the cause of his death. He was one of the best known hotel men in Michigan, having been in the business at Bonanza and Lake Odessa for 20 years. He built the Hotel Miner and has been at the desk practically ever since. Even last night he posted his books, and the guests that he showed to their rooms last night found him gone this morning when they arose. Mr. Miner was one of the most methodical men in Michigan, and it is claimed that he kept the records of his office in the best shape of any hotel in Michigan. Thursday, Sept. 20, 1900 H.F. Minier, proprietor of the hotel at Lake Odessa, died suddenly Friday morning, after only a few days illness. Thursday, Sept. 27, 1900 ... most citizens in the death of H.F. Miner, the proprietor of Hotel Miner, who died suddenly of heart failure Friday morning. He had been a resident of Odessa since an early day and his familiar form will be much missed.
