The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, January 26, 1983
Fred F. Minikey, 85, of 4759 N. Jefferson, Ionia, died Monday at the Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital.  He was born October 20, 1897 in Gratiot County.  He 
was married September 12, 1918 in Ionia to Eva Hopkins.

Besides his wife, survivors are two sons, Lyle Minikey of Sheridan, Donald 
Minikey of Ionia; three daughters, Dorothy Anrews, Ionia, Ruth Woodbury of 
Belding and Helen Hagen of Greenville; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-
grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  He was a farmer and a 
lifelong resident of the Ionia area.  He was also retired from Bentley Co. in 
1963.  He was preceded in death by one daughter Opal Wilson on August 5, 1982.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Stebbins-Simpson 
Funeral home in Sheridan with the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Burial 
will be in Otisco Cemetery.  Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at 
the funeral home.
