Minor, aged 85 years, took place at the home of his son, C.E. Minor, at Galeton, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, August 30. Mr. Minor was born on a farm a short distance north of Greenville and when he was a small boy he was bound out to S.R. Harroun, of this vicinity. He lived for a few years at Cook’s Corners and worked in this city when it was known as “Patterson’s Mills.” He enlisted at Ionia, in the 13th Michigan light artillery in 1864 and served until the end of the war when he was honorably discharged. Following his death, the body was brought to this city, by his son and was buried in Otisco cemetery. Survivors are a brother, Edwin, of Riverdale, a sister, Mrs. John Bowles of the city, and the son, with whom he made his home.
