Near the E. Leonard intersection, a truck driven toward the north by C.G. Stead, 75, of Sparta, made a turn west in front of them, onto Leonard and as it struck them their car was thrown against another truck, driven by K.J. Timmers, 60, of Grand Rapids. Following the Snead truck which at the side of the car where Miss Minzey was sitting, demolishing the car. Dr. Richard Bolkins, coroner, reported that death was caused by a broken neck. Miss Minzey and Collier were taken to Blodgett hospital in Grand Rapids where he was treated for head injuries and her body was taken to the Ellis Funeral home where it remained until time for the funeral. She was born in this city Nov. 2, 1925, the daughter of Albert and Lela Minzey and had always lived at 534 Merrick avenue. She graduated from the local high school in 1943 and had worked for the Gibson Refrigerator Co. since that time. She was a member of the Central Methodist church and a teacher in the primary department of the Sunday school for several years. She is survived by her mother and one sister, Mrs. William Bromley of the city, and her grandmother, Mrs. Mary E. Minzey of Lansing. Her father passed away several years ago. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3:30 at the Central Methodist church, Rev. Lester Clough officiating, and Mrs. Don Brown provided the organ music. Burial was in Otisco cemetery beside her father. Pall bearers were Donald Frisbie, Wilson Purdy, Frederick McDonald, Miles Benedict, James Schroeder and Richard Ravell.
