The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, September 13, 1950

Pfc. Gerald L. Misner, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Misner of 1410 Whyte 
street, Lansing, formerly of Ionia, was killed in South Korea on August 30, 
according to a war department telegram received by his parents on September 
8.  Besides his parents, Pfc. Misner is survived by three brothers, Donald, 
Robert and James and one sister, Joan, all at home.  Pfc. Misner was the 
grandson of Mrs. Vern Roberts of Yeomans.
