He was born Jan. 6, 1923, in Ionia, the son of Gerald and Inez (Buck) Misner. He married the former Dorothy Rockey in Saranac on Nov. 14, 1946. He served in the armed forces during World War II, was a member of the V.F.W. in Muir and a former member of the American Legion Post 182 in Hubbardston. He is survived by two daughters, Diane (Leo) McMillan of Hubbardston and Cheryl Brown of Saranac; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; special friend Marian Fabin; three sisters, Judy Thorn of Portland, Deloris (Lemuel) Freeman of Lyons, and Gerry Shellman of Orleans; three brothers: Don (Hilda) Misner of Ionia, Robert (Sandy) Misner of Ionia, and Art (Georgia) Misner of Lakeview. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Dick. Visitation will be at Schnepp Funeral Home in Carson City Monday, Feb. 27, from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 28, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 1, 1995, at 11 a.m. at the Schnepp Funeral Home in Carson City, with the Rev. Reid Martin of the Carson City Congregational Church, U.C.C., officiating. Burial will be at the East Plains Cemetery near Matherton, with the Muir Post of the V.F.W. providing graveside military services. Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
