RUSSELL MISNER SR.
Lake Odessa, MI - Russell Misner Sr., age 82, of Lake Odessa passed away 
peacefully at Thornapple Manor in Hastings, after a short illness.

He was born in East Jordan, on February 25, 1935 to Archie and Lucy Misner of 
Lake Odessa.

He was proceeded in death by son-in-law, Gregg Bumford; grandson, Brandon 
Misner; sisters, Viola Fyan, Lucille Bowerman, and Gladys Peabody; brothers, 
Archie Misner Jr., Mitchell Misner, and Floyd Misner.

He survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn (Pennington) Misner. They were 
married in lake Odessa on November 7, 1964.

He is also survived by his daughters, Brenda Vugteveen of Hastings, Debbie 
(Kevin) Kaminski of Lowell and son Russell Misner Jr. (Lori) Misner of Lake 
Odessa; sister, Luella VanderGriff of St.Johns; grandchildren, Becky Barlow, 
Kyle Kaminski, Jeremy Kaminski, Lindsey Boyer, Lucas Brumm; along with 12 great 
grandkids, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He worked 30 years at Co Op in lake Odessa where he retired in 1997. He enjoyed 
helping his son Russ build derby cars for the lake Odessa fair each year. He was 
an avid collector of John Deere collectables as well as a dedicated Chevy man; 
he knew how to fix them.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at Koops Funeral Chapel with 
burial taking place immediately following at lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa.

Memorial contributions in Russell's name can be give to the American Alzheimer's 
Association.
