MISNER Military funeral service was conducted Saturday afternoon for Gerald F. Misner, 71, of route two, who died Thursday morning following a short illness. The Rev. Harold A. Jayne, pastor of First Methodist church officiated, and the flag was folded and presented to Mrs. Misner by Burdette Lampman, assisted by Robert Schafer, members of American Legion Post of Ionia. Employee of Consumers Power company attended in a group. Bearers were employees of Consumer Powers Company, Glenn Church, George Helman, Jack Patton, Herbert Harvey, Maurice DePue, Ernest Rieger. Interment was at Balcom cemetery. Attending from out of town were Mr and Mrs Max D. Misner of Battle Creek, Mr and Mrs Virgil Ralston, Mr and Mrs Lemuel Freeman, Mr and Mrs Raymond Dyer, Mrs and Mrs Fred Meyers, Lewis Meyers, Mr and Mrs Clair Benoit, Henry Benoit, Mrs. Lillian Meyers and Eve Randall of Lyons: Jerry Geiser of Hastings, Mr and Mrs Laurence Clark, Mrs Leo Russell of Muir; Larry Burton and Mr and Mrs Calvin Cooper of Saranac; Louis F. Utess, Mr and Mrs Paul Spohn of Portland, Mr and Mrs Erva Rinkey of Carson City, Mr and Mrs Milton Hammond of Orleans. Mr and Mrs Dayton Decker, Dexter Decker and Richard Hopkins of Palo; Warner Rock of Matherton, Mr and Mrs Richard Fenn of Hubbardston, Ingal McMillan, Mrs Donald Ockert and daughter, Lee Clark, Mr and Mrs Walter Orwig and Harold Orwig of Belding: Mr and Mrs Elmer Thorn Jr. of Lansing, Mr and Mrs Frank Miner of Mecosta, Mr and Mrs Clifford Shellman of Lake Odessa, Mr and Mrs Vernon Brown of Greenville, Mr and Mrs Ernest Dalton of Sheridan, Mr and Mrs Elmer Thorn Sr., of Eagle, and Mr and Mrs Max Rahn, Jr., and family of Scottville.
