Mike was born in Antrim County, on May 18, 1930 to Archie and Lucy (Lavanway) Misner. Mike proudly served his country in Korea as a member of the U.S. Army from 1949-1952. He had been a long-time member of the Jackson-Mutschler VFW Post #4461 in Lake Odessa, as well as a member of the Woodland Eagles. Mike was united in marriage to Audrey White on December 26, 1953. For many years, Mike enjoyed working in his auto salvage business. He enjoyed playing pool, loved to play euchre and bingo, and enjoyed many happy hours hunting and fishing. Mike is survived by Audrey, his loving wife of 55 years; children, Michael Misner, Mark Misner, Scott Misner, and Linda (Lester) Steward; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister and brothers, Luwela Vander Grif, Russ (Marilyn) Misner, and Floyd Misner; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Frank White; and sisters, Gladys Peabody, Viola Fayn, and Lucille Bowerman. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice, or the Misner family. Arrangements were made by the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa.
