Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. Feb. 18, 1965

Mrs. Leroy Mitchell, 73, of Plymouth, former resident of Ionia, died Wednesday 
night at an Ann Arbor hospital. 

She was born in Berlin township July 28, 1891, the daughter of Cyrus and 
Elizabeth Harwood. Following he graduation from SS Peter and Paul academy, she 
worked at Lanster market before entering Ferris institute not Ferris State 
College at Big Rapids. There she received a teaching certificate and taught in 
elementary schools in South Dakota where she was married in 1917. The family 
returned to Michigan in the early 1930's

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband, Leroy; two daughters; seven sons and 
several grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Saturday morning at Plymouth.
