Belding- James A. Mitchell, 80, of Belding, was greeted in Heaven by his family 
that preceded him on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Metron of Belding.

Jim was born on April 13, 1933, in Greenville, the son of Adelbert and Laura 
Mae (Hornig) Mitchell.

Jim attended Greenville Public Schools and after school, he proudly served  his 
country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Jim worked at Extruded Metals, 
were he retired in 1995 after 42 years of service. He was a member of American 
Legion Post 203 in Belding, loved to hunt and fish, spend time with his family 
and he enjoyed long walks.

Jim married the love of his life, Marilyn Lou Loucks on Oct. 4, 1958, in Carson 
City and she preceded him on Sept. 4, 2008. He was also preceded in death by 
his parents; grandson, Jeffery and his brothers and sisters.

Jim is loved and survived by his children, Richard (Carrie) Mitchell of 
Webster, N.Y., Pete (Annette) Mitchell of Stanton, Sandra (Edward) Scheid, 
Thomas (Tonya) Mitchell, James H. Mitchell all of Belding, Laura (Harry) 
Hucklebury of Stanton and Jean (William) "Stan" Hoskins of Muir, 14 
grandchildren; four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, 
Belding with Pastor Byron Davey officiating. Committal prayers will follow in 
St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Metron of Belding Activities Fund or the B.
