She submitted to a serious operation 34 years ago and had been in poor health since. She was born April 7, 1855 and was married to Millard Mitchell of Ionia on October 14, 1895. Born in Ionia county, she moved from a farm in Berlin township to Ionia in 1910. Surviving her are her husband, Millard; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Cook of Allegan; one brother, William Harwood of Saranac; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock at the SS. Peter and Paul church. Rev. Fr. John S. Fons will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell was a charter member of the Rosary society of the SS. Peter and Paul church and they will meet tonight at the home at 463 Harter street to recite Rosary at 8 o’clock.
