Ionia Weekly Sentinel, 26 & 31 Dec 1917

Mrs. Alice Mitchell, wife of George Mitchell, passed away at the home in South Ionia
this morning.  She was 56 years old.  Funeral announcements later.

Rev. M.L. Marshall conducted the funeral service for Mrs. George Mitchell Saturday
afternoon at two o’clock at the residence in South Ionia.  Mrs. G.M. Phelps and Mrs.
John Hodgkins, jr., sang.  The bearers were D.O. McVeigh, Frank Greenhoe, Jos.
McQuillan and Mr. Cooper.  The remains were laid at rest in Highland Park
cemetery.
