Hoppough at Smyrna, Tuesday. He went west several months ago in the hope of finding a climate which would be beneficial to his health, but while at times he would feel encouraged, relief was only temporary. His mother and sister Bertha went to Boulder several weeks ago to remain with and care for him, doing everything in their power to encourage and make him comfortable, but no human hand could stay the progress of the dread disease and his life went out in the morning of youth. Tom, as he was familiarly known, was ambitious, bright, active and a general favorite among all with whom he associated. His remains are expected to arrive here today or tomorrow and the funeral services, which have not yet been arranged for, will be held at Smyrna. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity of the city and the order will probably attend in a body.
