The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, May 29, 1969
Funeral services for Lance Corporal Charles M. Moe, Jr., U. S. Marine killed 
in action in Vietnam, May 17, will be at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa 
at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

His body was scheduled to arrive in Detroit Thursday for transportation to 
Lake Odessa where burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moe, Sr., of Ainsworth Road, Lake Odessa 
received word he had been killed while on patrol south of the Vandergrist 
combat base.  He entered the service last March, received his training at San 
Diego, Calif. and was assigned overseas duty last September.
