The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, December 3, 1974

John P. Moes, 66, of rural Lake Odessa, died Monday morning at the Sebastian 
River medical center at Sebastian, Fla.  He and his wife were in Florida for 
the winter.

Born in the Netherlands September 15, 1908, he came to the Lake Odessa area 
with his parents, Marinus and Catherine Herman Moes.

Among his survivors are his wife, Myrna; a daughter, Mrs. Moveta Postma of 
Anchorage, Alaska; and a son, William; two sisters, Susie Moes of Lake Odessa 
and Mrs. Eliza Aungst of Grand Ledge; and a brother Peter of Lansing.

The body will arrive at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel in Lake Odessa late 
Tuesday night.  Arrangements will be announced.
