Lake Odessa Times Thurs. November 21, 1907

John Mohrhardt, a brother of C.F. Mohrhardt, the meat market man, died at his 
home in this village last Tuesday night, after having been ill for several weeks 
from cancer of the stomach. He was taken to the U.B.A. hospital last week but 
the physicians pronounced his case incurable and he was brought back to Lake 
Odessa Saturday, knowing that only a few days at the most were left to him.

Deceased was born in Germany 42 years ago and came to this village from Grand 
Rapids, about seven years ago to work in a meat market. He leaves a wife and 
three children and one brother, all of this place and a brother up north besides 
other relatives and friends.

The funeral is to be held tomorrow afternoon at the Congregational church.
