Born Oct. 13, 1921 in Lansing, he was the son of Edward W. and Traci Zieske Mohrhardt. He was graduated from Lansing Eastern high School and attended Michigan State university. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a retired carpenter and musician. He was a life member of the Lansing Federation of Musicians and a member of Carpenter's Local No. 1449, and was a avid fisherman. On June 2 6, 1947, he was married at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Lake Odessa to Marge Sutherland; she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, terry Sw---- and Kris Abbey of Lansing, ---- Neubouser of Toledo and Carolina Rapin of Kentwood; two grandchildren; one aunt, Bernice Waltz of Lansing; and three cousins. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be at 10 am. Tuesday at St. Edward's Church, Lake Odessa, with the Rev. James Bozung officiating. Memorials have been established for Eaton County Hospice and the percussion Section,Lakewood High School Band, in care of Mapes-Fisher Funeral Home, which made arrangements.
