He was born in Zeeland on March 11, 1920 to Cornelius and Nellie Pyle Moll. He moved to Belding in 1936 and began his lifelong career as a hard working farmer. In 1938 he was baptized and became a member of Ashley Baptist Church. Alvin married Leona Hansen of McBride on May 28, 1955. He enjoyed and took a great interest in 4-H and Future Farmers of America. He also enjoyed attending auction sales. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Helen Kramer and Rose Kramer, both of Holland. He is survived by his wife, Leona Moll; their children, Bruce and Debbie Moll of Grand Rapids, Dan Moll of Belding, Calvin Moll of Greenville, Carolyn and Greg Smith of Belding, Mary Ann and Ken Rittersdorf of Greenville, David Moll of Belding; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Angeline Kalman of Hudsonville; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday at Ashley Baptist Church with Pastor David A. Oliver officiating. Interment will follow the service in Ashley Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Johnson-Feuerstein Fueral Home, Belding. Memorial contributions may be given to the Ashley Baptist Church building fund.
