SUNFIELD- Mrs. Violet M. Monasmith, 68 of 293 Grand Ledge Hwy., died Saturday 
morning at Provincial House in Hastings where she had been a patient since July.

She was born in Woodbury, October 20, 1910, the daughter of Ernest and Olive 
Travis Grant and attended school at Woodbury.

She married Kedrick Monasmith, February 17, 1929 in Woodbury and he preceded her 
in death in September 1975.

Mrs. Monasmith lived most of her life in Woodbury and moved to Lake Michigan in 
1970, returning to Sunfield in May, 1978. She attended the United Brethren 
church in Woodbury.

Survivors include one son, George of Sunfield; one daughter, Mrs. Glenn 
(Ernestine) Piper of Lake Odessa; one sister, Mrs. Delbert (Itha) McArthur of 
Lake Odessa; two brothers, Wayne Grant of Long Beach, California and John Grant 
of Lake City; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services are Monday at 1:30 pm from the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel in Lake 
Odessa with Rev. Don Palmer and Rev. Edgar Perkins officiating.

Burial is in Woodland Memorial Park.
