Kathleen L. (Sleight) Monks, age 80, of Ionia passed away Friday, February 11, 
2005.  She was born on May 11, 1924 in Sebewa, the daughter of W.M. and Emma 
(Roth) Sleight.  She went on to marry Floyd Monks, who preceded her in death in 
1996.  Kathleen is survived by son, Charles (Sharon) Monks of Ionia, daughter, 
Norma (Ray) Martin of Arizona, grandchildren Ray (Sharie) Martin, Tony (Betsy) 
Martin, Mathew (Marjorie) Martin, Ron (Tami) Monks, and Beth (Mike) Campbell, 
and she is also survived by eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, both parents, three brothers 
and two sisters.  Graveside services will be held Monday, February, 14, 2005 at 
11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Kendall Harger officiating.  
Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to the choice of the family.
