Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 Nov 1972

Sarah Louise Monks, 78, of Ivan road, Saranac, died early Monday morning at
Hubbardston convalescent home.  Born March 8, 1894, in Grand Rapids she was the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Morrison.  June 24, 1919, she was married to Ivan
Monks and he died August 12, 1959.  She lived in the Saranac area most of her life.

Surviving are two sons, Melnott Monks of Belding and Lawrence Monks of Lowell;
daughter, Mrs. Catherine Miller of Saranac; brother, Leonard Morrison, Saranac;
sister, Mrs. Lena Seward of Healdsburg, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and eight great
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Morris-Roetman funeral home in
Saranac.  Interment will be at Saranac cemetery.
