The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 7, 1938

Funeral services for John Montgomery, 38, were held in Lansing Monday 
afternoon with interment in Highland Park cemetery in Ionia.

Mr. Montgomery, a former Ionian, was killed early Saturday morning near 
Fowlerville, when his truck was hit by a bus.  He was associated with the 
Montgomery and Wardwell Lansing produce dealers.

He leaves his wife and two sons.  He lived at 140½ North Larch street in 
Lansing and for the past 10 years was a familiar figure at central market in 
Lansing.
