The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the residence, Rev. W. K. Spender, D.D., officiating. Burial was at Highland Park. Mr. Montgomery was born in Stornway, Scotland, and came to this country when about thirty years old. He was first in Windsor, Canada, afterward in Detroit, and finally settled in Ionia thirty years ago and has been in the tailoring business here ever since, until his retirement last spring. He leaves a widow, who was Mrs. Frank Simpson of this city before her marriage to him, and two daughters, Mrs. William Spaulding of Chicago, and Mrs. Roy Cheney of Racine, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Cheney and children of Racine, Mrs. Spaulding of Chicago and a niece, Miss Isabell Roberts of Grand Rapids, were here to attend the funeral.
