The Ionia Standard, Friday, July 31, 1885

Sarah Alice, the youngest daughter of E. T. and A. S. Montgomery, died on 
Saturday evening, July 25, at 9 o’clock, after a brief illness, aged 12 years 
and 2 months.  She was down with typhoid fever but was not considered 
dangerously ill until Saturday.  Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery have the sympathy of 
the entire community in their affliction.
