Montgomery, former Ionia resident, who died suddenly in Lansing Monday will be held in Ionia later in the week and burial will be here. Exact time of the funeral services will be announced as soon as the time of the arrival of Mrs. Eva Cutler, who is on her way here from California, is known. Mrs. A. T. Montgomery, of Ann Arbor, John Montgomery, of Eaton Rapids, George, a student at Ann Arbor, and Almarene, also in college at Ann Arbor were expected in Ionia today. Katherine, another daughter, who is married and resides in Porto Rico, would be unable to come. Mr. Montgomery died suddenly Monday while he was conversing with Howard Lawrence, in the state library at Lansing. Mr. Montgomery has been employed in the library for a year and Monday drove with his son John to his work. He had not been feeling well Monday morning, although Sunday his health was apparently good. Heart disease is thought to have been the cause of his death. He had served Ionia county as deputy sheriff for two terms and as sheriff for two terms and Ionia city as supervisor from the third ward before removing to Eaton Rapids where he had a farm, now conducted by his son John. All members of his family are expected here except his two daughters, Katherine and Etta, of California, for the funeral which will be held from the Episcopal church of which he was a life-long member.
