Lucille M. Montgomery, 73, of Ionia, died Tuesday at Ionia County Memorial
Hospital.  She was born Sept.  30, 1916, in Alma, the daughter of Stephen and
Lottie McCoy Donner.  She owned and operated her own adult foster care home in
Ionia for more than 30 years.  She was a member of Ionia Moose.

Surviving are three sons, Bud, Bilie and Brad, all of Ionia; three daughters,
Mrs. Maynard (Barbara) Helmer, Beverly Minaker and Mrs. James (Rose Ann), all of
Ionia; 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Kenneth
(Phyllis) Lobdell of Ionia; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in
death by her husband Bud in 1966; and a daughter, Esther Marie, in 1935.

Complete funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Cook Funeral
Home.  Burial will be in Easton Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral
home Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m.  A memorial has been
established for the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
