    Excerpts from Ionia Obituary

      MARY MARGARET MONTGOMERY

Died August 19, 2025 - age 77 of Ionia.
Born in Grand Rapids,MI, the daughter of Louis McCaroll & Margarette 
(Haskin)Manley.
Mary devoted her life to her children & grandchildren. Her greatest joy was her 
family & watching them grow.
Survived by her children, Kathy(Jim) Olmstead of Ionia, Annie (Brian)Schafer of 
Mount Peasant & Molly (Aaron) Rhines of Ionia; grandchildren, Tyler (Grace), 
Katelyn, Ryleigh, Patrick, Beau, Bella, Landon & Jersey, great-grandchildren, 
Anakin & Addison. Also her sister,Kitty Cole of Ionia & dear friend, Linda 
Renucci.
Preceded in death by her son James,"Jimmy" Montgomery, grandson,Cameron Rhines; 
parents; brothers Jimy & Joey; & brother-in-law,Wayne Cole.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the nursing & care staff at Optalis of 
Ionia for providing not only medical care but also love & support in a place 
Mary felt safe.
Special thanks to Compassus Hospice for their compassion during her final days.
Cremation has taken place, & no services will be held at this time.
Arrangements entrusted to Lake Funeral Home of Ionia.
