                      Alex Montgomery, Jr., Dies in Ann Arbor
Word has come of the death of Alexander Montgomery, Jr., aged 25, at the home 
of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex T. Montgomery, in Ann Arbor Tuesday afternoon.

He was a resident of Ionia until about seven years ago when the family moved to 
Ann Arbor. He attended the Ionia public schools and graduated in the class of 
1919. Later he attended the University of Michigan. The past few years he had 
been teaching in the Detroit schools.

A short time ago he was taken ill with grip and went to the home of his parents 
at Ann Arbor. Tuesday he became worse the disease having affected his heart and 
his death occurred in the afternoon.

Besides his widow and parents, he is survived by two sisters, Miss Katherine 
Montgomery, who teaches in Puerto Rico, and Olmarene Montgomery at home. He 
also is survived by two brothers, George Montgomery, who attends the University 
and John Montgomery, who lives on a farm near Eaton Rapids.

The body will arrive in Ionia on the Grand Trunk train Thursday afternoon at 
11:15 and will be taken directly to Highland Park for burial.
