Bernard “Bud” Moon, 65, Belding, passed away Monday, July 29, 1996, at
Butterworth Hospital.  He was born Dec. 3, 1930, in Grayling, the son of Loren
and Beulah Cummings Moon.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea.  He retired in
1968 after 20 years with General Tire, Ionia, where he served the last 17 years
as a security officer.

On Dec. 8, 1951, in Staten Island, N.Y., he married Philomena Ciccariello.  She
survives along with their children, Ann Marie and Byron Haney, Patricia and
Randy Loveland, George and Connie Jo Moon, all of Belding, Barbara Moon of
Saranac, Paul and Betty Jo Moon of Orleans, 13 grandchildren; five sisters and
three brothers-in-law, Ruth and Harold Johnson of North Muskegon, Clara Sterken
of Marne, Shirley and Lee Wormilink of Wyoming, Evelyn and Richard Walker of
Lake Odessa, Carol Hall of Florida; four brothers and two sisters-in-law,
Orville Moon of Muskegon, Robert Minch of Caledonia, William and Paula Minch of
Hastings, Gary and Betty Minch of Mesick; and two sisters-in-law, Violet Moon of
Montague, and Cheryl Minch of Wyoming.  He was preceded in death by one sister,
Betty Minch; and three brothers, Eldon Moon, Dennis Minch and Roger Minch.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home,
Belding, with Pastor Kenneth Martin officiating.  Interment will be in Rest
Haven Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to ICMH Home Care of
Ionia or Belding Fly Tying Club.
