Richard Harvey Moon, age 87, of Saranac passed away November 23, 2012 in Ionia. 
He was born September 25, 1925 in Ovid, MI the son of Sidney and Emily 
(Skinner) Moon. Richard married Corabelle (Corky) Dowsett September 18, 1952. 
She preceded him in death in 1988. He married Margaret Hunter September 9th, 
1989. Richard worked at General Motors until retiring in 1987. He attended 
Saranac Community Church. He volunteered often for the church and other area 
organizations. Richard served in the Army during the Korean War. He is survived 
by his loving wife of 23 years, Margaret Moon of Saranac; sons, David Moon of 
Ludington, Michael (Ann) Moon of Ionia and Patrick Moon of New Mexico; 
stepchildren, Sharon (Tim) Thomas of Lowell, Diane (Jim) Anderson of Montana, 
Shelly (Steve) Shaler of Montana and Cass Hunter of Ionia; grandchildren, 
Brian, Becky, Dustin, Matt, Stephanie, Lee, Lauren, Hunter and Elliott and five 
great grandchildren, Braelyn, Carter, Tayla, Kerrigan and Draysen. He was 
preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. Funeral services will be 
held Monday, November 26th, 10:30 A.M. at Saranac Community Church with Pastor 
Becky Poor officiating. Interment Easton Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, 
2-5 P.M. at Lake Funeral Home of Saranac and Monday 9:30-10 A.M. until time of 
service at the church. You may make memorial contributions in Richard's name to 
Berlin Orange Fire Department or Saranac Community Church Food Pantry. Online
