Lake Odessa Wave - May 27, 1976
          SERVICES HELD FOR GEORGE MOON
   George F. Moon, 67, of 7953 Cedarlake Dr., Greenbush, passed away Friday morning
at St. Luke Hospital 
where he had been hospitalized since April 20.
   He was born June 25, 1908 at Lapeer, the son William and Florence (Dent) Moon and
was a graduate of the 
Lapeer high school class in 1926.  He married Genevieve Wortley at Lake Odessa,
September first, 1938.  
They resided at Lapeer while he was employed by the Lapeer Press and they later
moved to Flint in 1949 
when he accepted a position with the Flint Journal, remaining there until he retired
April 1, 1971.  They moved 
to Greenbush following his retirement and had spent the last four winters at New
Port Richey, Fla.
   Mr. Moon was a member of the International Typographers Union.
   Surviving are his wife and a brother Paul of Gladwin.
   Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 at the Picken-Koops Funeral Chapel,
Lake Odessa.  Rev. William 
Hertel officiated with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
