MOON, HARRY L.: 
IONIA SENTINEL STANDARD, MI, 6-25-1988:  "Obituaries - ST. JOHNS - Harry L.
Moon, 59, of St. Johns, died June 24 at Ingham Medical Hospital in Lansing.
   He was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Ionia county, the son of Wilbur and Viola
(Gunckel) Moon.
   He moved to St. Johns in 1979 from Ionia.  He was employed by GM Parts
Division for 27 years and retired June 1, 1988.
   He married Alice Hoeve in Detroit in 1980, and was a member of the
Congregational Christian Church of Eureka.
   He is survived by his wife, Alice; his children, Vicki Cowles, Douglas Moon,
and Brian Moon, all of Ionia, and David Moon of Saranac; two step-children,
George Hoeve of St. Johns and Darrell Hoeve of Lansing; 12 grandchildren; 7
step-grandchildren; one brother, Wilbur of Ionia, one sister, Gladys Walker of
Belding; two sister-in-laws, Hermina Gunckel of Conklin and Rose Moon of Ionia.
   He was preceded in death by two brothers, David Gunckel and Howard Moon, and
one granddaughter.
   Funeral services will be Monday, June 27 at 1 p.m. at the Osgood Funeral Home
in St. Johns.
   Burial will be in Eureka Cemetery, with the Rev. Doug Jones officiating.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the Eureka Congregational Church or
Hospice."
