Mrs. Anna E. Moon, 79, for 13 years resident of South Ionia and an Ionia county 
resident all her life, died at her South Ionia home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock 
following a short heart illness. She had been in failing health for several years.

Mrs. Moon was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Simmons of Berlin township and was

born there November 30, 1858. She was married to Chancey Moon September 20, 1880. 
Mr. Moon died in October, 1928. The couple were married in Ionia city.

Mrs. Moon was a member of the LeValley Methodist Episcopal church where she had been

active for many years in the affairs of the congregation. Three children preceded 
her in death.

Surviving are four sons, Charles Moon and George Moon of Orange township, Wilbur of

Berlin and Irwin Moon of South Ionia, three daughters, Mrs. Lillie Robertson of 
Ionia, Miss Nina Moon and Miss Lula Moon, both at home, and a half-sister, Mrs. Ida

Jennings of Fayetteville, Ark. 

Funeral services will be from the South Ionia home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, 
December 24, with Rev. Kenneth Griswold, of the LeValley church officiating. 
Interment will be at the Balcom cemetery.
