The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, June 4, 1942
Mrs. Bertha Moon, 73, died Thursday morning at her home on North Jefferson 
Street.  She had been in ill health for some time.  She was born Feb. 1, 1869 
in Germany the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Woodrich.  She came from Germany 
with her parents to Ionia 62 years ago.  

She was married January 21, 1906 and was preceded in death by her husband.  
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Steve Vitich and two grandchildren of 
Detroit, a sister Mrs. Edith Krueger of Detroit, a brother, Henry Woodrich of 
Muir, a sister, Mrs. Minnie Meisling, died Dec. 1925.  She is also survived by 
twelve nephews and eight nieces.

She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran church of Ionia.  Prayer services will 
be held from her home on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. R. A. Rook officiating.  
Burial will be at Highland Park cemetery.
