Born in Orange township May 19, 1881, she was the daughter of Nelson and Hattie Pervorse Townsend. She attended the Badder school. March 28, 1900, she was married to George Russell and they made their home in the rural Ionia area. He preceded her in death in 1913. She later married Albert Moon in Ionia October 15, 1921, and he died August 27, 1941. She had made her home in Ionia and Greenville before going to Grand Rapids. She was a member of First United Methodist church. Surviving are two sons, Ernest Russell of Greenville and Laurence Russell of Ionia; daughter, Mrs. Hollis Hodell of Cedar Springs; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Leddick funeral home. Rev. Charles Fullmer will officiate and interment will be at Tuttle cemetery.
