Mickey Dawn Moon, aged 48, of Ionia, passed away Aug. 16, 2007 after a 
courageous battle with cancer.  She was born Dec. 23, 1958 in Jacksonville, 
Fla. She married Brian Moon July 5, 1980.

She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years Brian Moon of Ionia; her 
children Mark James Moon of Stanton, Kevin Daniel Moon, Jennifer Lynn Moon, 
Eric Joseph Moon, Benjamin Jay Moon, Katie Marie Moon and Sarah Ann Moon, all 
of Ionia; mother Martha Heiss of Lake Odessa; sisters Deborah Beassler of Sand 
Lake, Jan (Tim) McLenithan of Lake Odessa and Terry and Carol Heiss of Ada; 
several nieces and nephews and birth parents James Scafe and Dawn Tilly.  She 
was preceded in death by her father Charles Heiss and brother in law Doug 
Beassler.

Funeral Services will be held Monday 1 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Mr. Terry Heiss officiating. Interment is at Balcom Cemetery. Visitation 
will be on Monday noon to 1 p.m. Anyone wishing may make memorial 
contributions to Ionia Area Hospice.
