Ionia Daily Sentinel, 28 Jan 1918

Hubbardston - John Mooney, aged 82 years, died Thursday at his home about three 
miles west of town.  He was as well as usual until he suffered a stroke the night 
of the blizzard and they were unable to get a doctor for him.  He was a veteran 
of the civil war.  The services were conducted at his home Saturday afternoon, 
Rev. Fr. Doyle officiating, and the remains were interred in the West Side 
cemetery.  He is survived by two daughters and one son.
