Moore, died at her home on the west side early Christmas morning. The cause of her death was consumption, with which she had been afflicted for some time. She was 44 years of age. Her maiden name was Taylor and she was born near Fort Wayne, Ind. She as married to Mr. Moore 26 years ago at the home of his brother P.? N. Moore, in this village, the ladies being sisters. One child, Clyde of Portland was born to them and the husband and son survive her. Mrs. Moore was a most estimable woman and had many friends among her acquaintances. They had resided here since their marriage. Mrs. Moore, previous to her marriage resided with her parents in Sebewa, in which place they came in 1865 from Allen County, Ind., and where her mother died in 1866. Beside the husband and son she is survived by two sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Degree of Honor and L.O.T.M. In the former order she carried a certificate of insurance for $1,000 in favor of her husband. Funeral services were held from her late home on Friday afternoon last by Rev. Millard and burial made in Portland cemetery. The remains were under escort of delegations from Degree of Honor, Lady Maccabees and the Oddfellows, the latter of which the bereaved husband has long been a member, and who has the sympathy of a large circle of friends in his bereavement.
