Claude C. Moore, 79, of 1003 Masonic avenue, Belding, died Friday at Belding
Community hospital following an illness of several weeks.  Born at Howard City,
January 30, 1893, he had lived most of his life in the Belding area.  He was a
retired interior decorator and veteran of World War I.  He was married January
12, 1920, in Belding to Violet Vanshoven and she survives.  

Besides the wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Josephine Thomas of Belding; son,
Clayton Moore of Lansing; one grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Norris of
Lansing and Mrs. Pearl Jesco of Lansing; and a brother, Oscar Moore of Lansing.  

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Charles M. Courser funeral home
in Belding.  Rev. Eugene Lewis of United Methodist church will officiate and
interment will be at Otisco cemetery.
