Mrs. Ernest Moore, nee Lera Pilkinton, died at Eaton Rapids Friday afternoon 
of influenza.  The remains were brought across county Monday forenoon by motor 
hearse for interment on the family lot.  She was a daughter of the late George 
Pilkinton.  Her mother was summoned to Eaton Rapids a week ago, to help care 
for her.  Mr. Moore and a seven-year-old daughter are also ill with the 
disease.  A three-pound son was born two days before the mother’s death.

Mr. Moore was born in Portland and graduated from the high school.  She would 
have been 32 years old next February.  She has resided at Eaton Rapids several 
years.

Funeral services were held in that town and were private.  Mr. Moore is also 
very ill and the little daughter is sick.  Reports received yesterday morning 
were to the effect that they were better.
