Hastings Reminder - Sat. Nov. 14, 2009


LAKE ODESSA – Maynard Harris Moore, age 73, of Lake Odessa, passed away on 
November 7, 2009.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Reva (Bolster) Moore; son, 
Brian Douglas Moore; sisters, Colleen Almy, Thelma Minikey, and Marvel 
Roundtree. Maynard is survive by Gertrude, his wife of 49 years; his children 
Roxanne (Raymond) Keeler, Tina (Tom) Magee, Walter (Linda) Moore, Donna M. 
Moore and Maynard S. Moore; grandchildren, Maynard J. Magee (Amy Evearitt), 
Thomas J. Magee (Laura Ryan), Andrew P. Magee (Shelby Samis), Jason (Crystin) 
Clark, Shandra Degood, David, Amanda, Michael, Rachelle, Matt Bradley and 
Beulah Wheat.

Maynard is also survived by his sisters, Gaylene (Gordon) Furman, Delores 
Heaven, and Paula Havens; brother, Walter Moore; several nieces and nephews; 
several great grandchildren, and one special great grandchild, Ashton Blake 
Magee.

The family wishes to thank Pennock Hospice of Hastings for their care and 
support. Thank you to special friends, Gary and Terry Smith and family, Gene 
and Trudy Shade, Bill and Marlene Bruce and Richard Spriggs; to all his co-
workers at the Ionia County Road Commission; and to Dr. Don Gingerich for his 
care. Maynard was greatly loved, and will be missed.

In keeping with Maynard’s wishes there will be no visitation or services. 

Arrangements were made by the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa.
