Ionia Setinel-Standard - Fri. March 28, 1980

BELDING- Edna Mercer Moore, 91m if 9417 Ellis Rd., Belding died Wednesday at a 
Belding nursing home.

She was born July 6, 1888 in Easton Township, Ionia County.

She was a graduate of Blodgett Hospital School of Nursing class of 1913m and a 
life-long member of the Blodgett Hospital Alumni Association. She was the 
Belding Area Schools school health nurse for 20 years. A veteran of World War 
I, she was a member of the Navy and Army Nurse Corp. A member of the United 
Methodist Church since May 3, 1908, she was also a member of the church 
Grailers.

Her husband, Bryon preceded her in death in 1958.

She is survived by four step-daughters, Mrs. Mildred Barron of Greenville, Mrs. 
Arlene Hadley of Stanton, Mrs. Irene Doty of Orleans and Mrs. Lorene Meggison 
of Orleans; two step-sons, Dale Mercer of California, and LaVern Mercer of 
Edmore; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Huffman funeral Home, Belding, the 
Rev. Richard Strait officiating. The family will receive guests Friday from 7 
to 8:30 p.m.

Burial will be in Otisco Cemetery.
