Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 22 May 1950

Fred B. Moore, 68, of 517 Riverside Drive, died suddenly at the Ionia County
Memorial hospital Monday at 5:30 a.m. after being admitted Sunday afternoon.  He
was born Dec. 29, 1881, in Lexington, the son of Benjamin and Martha Moore.  He
spent his early life in Croswell and later worked for a number of years at St.
Ignace and Mackinac Island before coming to Ionia 32 years ago.  He was employed
at the Ionia State hospital for 32 years, many years of that as chief engineer.

He was married Dec. 31, 1921, two Lila Disbrow of Marion.  He was a member of
the Ionia B.P.O.E., and the Modern Woodmen of America.

Surviving besides the wife are a daughter, Marilyn, at home and a brother,
Jason, of Detroit.

Funeral services will be held from the Boynton funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m. 
Dr. Howard A. Smith will officiate.  Interment will be in Marion cemetery.
