Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 22 Aug 1958

Mrs. M. Theo (Jacob) Moore, 73, 145 Lafayette street, died at 7 p.m. Thursday at
the Ionia County Memorial hospital, where she had been patient since July 4. 
Mrs. Moore had been ill almost three years.  Born in Orange township March 5,
1885, she was the daughter of C.I. and Sofia Goodwin.  She graduated from Ionia
high school in 1904 and attended Michigan State college two years.  She was
married to Jacob Moore July 3, 1907 in Orange township and they lived there 16
years, five years in Ionia township, 17 months in Illinois, and came to Ionia in
1929.  Since then they have lived on Lafayette street.  Mrs. Moore was a member
of the First Methodist church, WSCS of the church, Jeanetta Howard Sunday school
class and of the Farm Bureau.

Surviving besides her husband are one son, John of Orange township; three
daughters, Mrs. Sterrey Stout of Orange township, Mrs. Verne Stretch of
Mundelein, Ill., and Mrs. Marion Stutes of Lansing, and 13 grandchildren.  She
was preceded in death by a sister who died in 1925 in Japan and a brother who
died in 1941.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist church with
the Rev. J. Lawrence Ward officiating.  Interment will be at Highland Park
mausoleum.  The family will be at Boynton’s funeral home Saturday and Sunday
from 3 to 5 in the afternoon and 7 to 9 in the evening.  Those who wish may
contribute to the memorial fund of the First Methodist church in memory of Mrs.
Moore.
